Labor Day is often considered the "unofficial ending" of summer and the beginning of another school year for kids. With autumn just around the corner, we’ve rounded up some last-minute travel tips for clients looking to soak up some Las Vegas sunshine before the autumn chill arrives.
Art and Wine at Bellagio
Executive director Tarissa Tiberti and Jason Smith, director of wine and master sommelier, will be hosting the “Art and Wine: A Perfect Pairing” event at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art (BGFA) on September 9, two days after Labor Day.
Smith invites guests to sip on a selection of wines he has specifically paired to compliment featured artworks from the current BGFA exhibition.
"I have spent many years studying wine, and these events are pushing my wine knowledge to a whole new level," Smith says. "Art and Wine: A Perfect Pairing not only allowed me to view the works of art from a different perspective, but it added a visual dimension to the joy of tasting wine."
The Art and Wine event is part of a series of tastings held the second Wednesday of every month and highlights continuously changing art selections within the gallery. Also, beverage offerings are not limited to only wine, but have also included champagne, tequila, and beer, depending on the “aesthetic inspiration”.
The Perfect Pairing series runs from 5 to 7 pm, with an interactive wine and art discussion by the hosts beginning at 6 pm. Prices for the event are $34 for members and $42 for non-members.

Johnson and Dodson Go Head-to-Head at UFC 191
Clients searching for an action-packed getaway should check out the long-anticipated mixed martial arts (MMA) rematch between Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson and John "The Magician" Dodson.
The two last went head-to-head in January 2013, where Johnson rallied to win a unanimous decision over Dodson. Now, on September 5, the two fighters will again meet at the “UFC 191” event to compete for the flyweight championship title at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

EDM Takes Over at Encore Beach Club
Las Vegas has a long list of electronic dance music (EDM) events for travelers looking to escape to a nightclub this Labor Day, with performances from some of the biggest names in the genre.
On September 7 at 12 pm, travelers ages 21 and up can see David Guetta perform some of his latest hits on the stage at Encore Beach Club. Guetta is known for his recent collaboration with artists including Nicki Minaj and Sia, as well as remixes with Afrojack and Modern Machines.
Also this Labor Day, just nearby at XS at Encore, the “Monday Nightswim” event will feature performances from resident DJs Skrillex and Diplo starting at 10 pm. The lineup will include a mash up of some of the performers’ most recent collaborations. Guests must be at least 21 to join the party.

Kevin Hart to Host HartBeat Weekend
Travelers can let out a few laughs during Labor Day weekend at Tao Beach’s "HartBeat Weekend", hosted by actor and comedian Kevin Hart.
On September 5 and 6, Hart will be performing two comedy shows at The Chelsea and Boulevard Pool, with additional encore performances at 10:30 pm after each event. Hart, who is well-known for his stand-up routines "Laugh at My Pain" and "I'm a Grown Little Man", will be showcasing stand-up comedy from some of his favorite comedians.
Additionally, as part of HartBeat Weekend, Grammy Award-winner and rapper, Drake, will perform at Boulevard Pool on Sunday, September 6 at 9 p.m.
