New Orleans' historic Audubon Building is undergoing a major overhaul over the next few months and will reemerge as The Saint Hotel.
Following a $45 million purchase, The Saint Hotel will reopen in December 2011. The property sits on Canal Street at Burgundy Street, just steps from New Orleans' historic and vibrant French Quarter.
The Saint Hotel will be done up in Beaux Arts style, with 166 rooms measuring at 320 square feet. The restaurant, Sweet Olive, will feature American food concocted by Chef Michael Soltzfus. The Burgundy Bar will be a hotspot for live New Orleans jazz, while Halo, the rooftop bar and lounge, will offer panoramic views of New Orleans.
