Canyons Resort is introducing the "Ultimate Mountain Experience" program, a collection of winter sports adventures which consists of signature fantasy camps and customizable winter sports programs led by world-class athletes (including six former Olympians). Athletes will guide fantasy camp weekends in January and March 2013, where itineraries may include Erik Schlopy's "Power Turn Experience." Additionally, all athletes in the "Ultimate Mountain Experience" are available for customizable one- to three-day experiences.
The resort features a marquee hotel, which provides accommodations and amenities including the Powder Ice Lounge, a new nightlife hot spot where champagne is served by the bottle, glass and flights. Price starts at $45 per person which includes live entertainment and passed hors d’oeuvres. Open from 6 p.m. until close.
The marquee hotel also provides a tableside, made-to-order hot chocolate program at Slopes by Talisker, a fine dining restaurant. Slopes by Talisker is introducing a hot chocolate bar for winter 2012-2013 that features gourmet hot chocolate that is served using a traditional molinillo and the Valrhona chocolate. Guests can customize their hot chocolate with spice infusions like cardamom, anise, cinnamon and crème de menthe. Price is $10.
In addition, the marquee hotel is offering the Majordomo Package, which gives guests extra add-on adventures and experiences that are only available through the package. The Majordomo Package starts at $869 per night in a one-bedroom residence.
Finally, Executive Chef Clement Gelas, is introducing a “Be Your Own Chef Menu” where guests can cook gourmet meals in their in-room chef’s kitchen outfitted with state-of-the-art Viking appliances. Menus boast Oaxacan chopped salad and pulled achiote pork, an Italian meal with fresh house-made pasta and Rosemary lamb shank, and a French Savoy-inspired fondue for two with choice of sweet or savory. Chef provides prepped ingredients with instructions, and guests do a little cooking to finish the dishes in-room. Prices range from $32 to $65; serves up to four people.
