Melissa Etheridge to Perform at the Deer Valley Resort Skifest Race to Benefit Waterkeeper Alliance

 

Skiing down the mountainDeer Valley Resort, host of the Celebrity Skifest for over 20 years and JUMA Entertainment, the creator and producers of the event, have invited Academy Award and Grammy winner, Melissa Etheridge to perform at a private concert on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at the Gala Event benefitting Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s Waterkeeper Alliance. A variety of packages are still available through Waterkeeper Alliance that will provide guests the opportunity to participate in the event and attend an intimate concert with Melissa Etheridge.

Celebrities and environmental supporters including Larry David, Rosie Perez and Kevin Nealon will ski in the CBS Celebrity Skifest Race on Saturday, and then gather that evening for the Waterkeeper Benefit Gala. For the first the very first time, tickets and packages starting at $1,250 are available for the Saturday Gala, which includes cocktails, dinner, auction, and a speech by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and a live concert by Melissa Etheridge. The musical performance is only available to 300 guests and 100 percent of the proceeds from the Gala will be given to Waterkeeper Alliance, the global environmental non-profit organization.

Festivities throughout the weekend will be featured on CBS, shown to more than one million viewers. The 2012 Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest is scheduled to air on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at 5 p.m.
