Santa Marshals Park City Mountain Resort's 49th Annual Torchlight Parade

 

Santa ClausPark City Mountain Resort is celebrating the holiday season by having Santa come down the Town Lift on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012. He will lead the Resort's Torchlight Parade on Christmas Eve. Both events are free and open to the public.

On Saturday, Dec. 15, Santa and his reindeer will descend from the sky above Park City’s historic Main Street via the Resort’s Town Lift. Festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m. with free hot chocolate and cookies on the Town Lift Plaza. After landing at Town Lift Plaza, Santa will be available to take photos and field gift requests from everyone.

On Christmas Eve, Santa returns to marshal the Resort’s 49th Annual Torchlight Parade. Santa and the Resort’s ski and snowboard instructors illuminate PayDay run in a procession of lights, with free hot chocolate and cookies served in the Resort Plaza beginning at 5:30 p.m. After the torchlight parade, Santa will visit with guests before taking to the skies for his rounds. Resort guests should also keep an eye out for Santa skiing around the Resort throughout the day on Christmas Eve.

Park City Mountain Resort also begins night operations on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2012, with night skiing and riding available at PayDay lift and run, First Time lift and run and 3 Kings lift and terrain park. Night skiing and riding will be offered until 9 p.m. seven days a week until March 31, 2013.
