Punta Mita Resorts Offers 20 Percent

After June, commission for the villas will be 10 percent, McCarthy says. Rental rates for a one-story, three-bedroom villa start at $900 per night, a two-story, three-bedroom villa starts at $1,050 and a two-story, four-bedroom villa starts at $1,400. In addition to the 28 to the already-existing villas, 10 villas are currently in development and are expected to be completed by early 2008.

For golfers, the centerpiece of Punta Mita is the private Jack Nicklaus Signature Course–Four Seasons Golf Club, which features the only natural island hole in the world. The ocean-view clubhouse has a practice facility, pro shop and restaurant.

Guests can select from a number of Mita Residential homes throughout the community, which range from two- to seven-bedroom homes. Some of the villas and luxury condos available to guests are Four Seasons Private Villas, beachfront Hacienda de Mita condos, Las Palmas de Punta Mita villas, with ocean and links views, as well as the Las Terrazas Golf Villas. Punta Mita's Residential Concierge service offers airport transfers, car rentals, pre-arrival grocery shopping, catering services, specially designed menus, restaurant reservations, babysitter service, booking tours and excursions and Internet access.

Activities offered include scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, sea kayaking, fishing, whale watching, swimming with dolphins, horseback riding and exploring the tropical forest in the SierraMadreMountains.

Rental rates for homes average $1,000–$9,000 per day in low season (May to November) and $1,200–$12,000 in high season (December to April). Luxury condo rates range from $650 to $1,550 in low season, and from $750 to $1,850 in high season.

The master plan of Punta Mita includes several luxury developments in the works, including the St. Regis Resort & Residences (December 2007), which will feature a second Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course and a variety of exclusive residential offerings and estate lots.
