Airlines Ease Fees In Midst of Storm

As snowstorms fell across the Midwest and Northeast on Monday night, airlines took steps to ensure travel was less of a hassle for snow-bound travelers. Snow, freezing rain and cold temperatures that proceeded through Wednesday caused canceled flights and dangerous driving conditions across some of the United States' busiest hubs, including Chicago and New York. The weather and subsequent cancellations prompted such airlines as Continental, JetBlue and US Airways, to waive change fees. Agents and travelers should check refund policies and the status of flights with individual carriers.
