December 22, 2014

snowA storm expected to impact the East Coast and Midwest of the United States could create travel delays on Christmas Eve, Accuweather reports.

While the most widespread travel disruptions will occur on Christmas Eve, Accuweather also warned that early problems could develop early this week before continuing in the Upper Midwest and central Appalachians into Christmas Day. Major airlines have not yet released any information regarding rebooking. Travel Agent will update when we learn more.

Additionally, fog and low visibility could cause flight delays in Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York City and Boston, Accuweather said.

At the same time, heavy snow could cause Christmas Eve travel disruptions in the Northwest, according to another Accuweather report. Snow is forecast to fall in the areas east of the Cascade Mountain Range and part of the Plains. Areas west of the Cascades, from Seattle, Washington, through Medford, Oregon, will likely experience rain.
