ARC said it has been advised that Japan Airlines filed for protection under the Corporate Reorganization Law of Japan at the Tokyo District Court on January 19 as part of a pre-packaged corporate revitalization plan. The purpose of the filing is to provide protection to the company from its creditors while it reorganizes.
Japan Airlines stated that it expects to continue to operate flights and customer programs without interruption. On this basis, ARC will continue processing Japan Air Lines-validated transactions, including sales, refunds and exchanges, without interruption.
