Singapore to Allow Quarantine-Free Travel for Americans

The Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group announced that has added Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) services to Singapore from the following countries: Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, the MaldivesNetherlandsPhilippines, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States. (With the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL), eligible vaccinated travelers can enjoy quarantine-free entry to Singapore if they meet all requirements.)

SIA will be expanding its VTL network to progressively include Dubai, Hong Kong, Manila, New York (Newark) and Phuket from February 25. It will also step up frequencies for flights between Singapore and several existing VTL destinations, including Bandar Seri Begawan, Colombo, Male and Phnom PenhScoot, SIA’s low-cost subsidiary, will progressively include Chiang Mai, Cebu, Clark, Davao, Hong Kong, Jeddah, Krabi, London (Gatwick) and Phuket to its VTL network. It will also increase its frequency for services between Singapore and Phuket. With the addition of these new destinations, the SIA Group will operate VTL services from 47 cities in 25 countries to Singapore.

SIA customers with existing bookings will be notified if their flight has been designated as a VTL flight. Those who do not meet the VTL requirements may opt to rebook their flights or request for a refund instead.

Customers may request to rebook or seek a refund of the unused portion of their ticket via SIA’s Assistance Request Form to submit their request. Those who require urgent assistance may also reach out to their local Singapore Airlines reservation office. Customers who have made bookings through a travel agency or partner airline are advised to contact them directly for assistance.

For customers who wish to travel to Singapore via the VTL, they must take designated VTL flights and meet all other eligibility requirements to enter Singapore quarantine-free. Customers who fly on non-VTL flights will be subject to prevailing quarantine restrictions in Singapore.
