Barcelo Grand Faro Los Cabos to Open Two Weeks Early

As a result of recovery efforts surrounding Hurricane Odile's September impact, Barcelo Grand Faro Los Cabos will reopen to the public on October 23, nearly two weeks ahead of schedule.

The resort, which was one of the least impacted hotels in the area, is one of the first to welcome new visitors after the Los Cabos International Airport resumed service last week.

Currently, the Los Cabos International Airport is expected to receive between 1,500 and 1,800 tourists from 12 flights a day, six of which are of national origin and the other remaining six international. The Los Cabos area is well on its way to a full recovery, with nearly 70 percent of the destination's restaurants already in operation.

While the main hotel and most of its existing facilities will be fully operational, there will be additional improvements made in the coming months. The most immediate of these upgrades are a complete renovation of both the Sky Bar and Cielito Lindo and Sushi Bar Kyoto, which will reopen November 30.
