Bermuda Dodges Hurricane Florence

Hurricane Florence, a Category 1 storm, at press time was moving away from Bermuda. The Bermuda Tourism Board reports that the Bermuda International Airport re-opened Tuesday and the causeway leading to the airport is open. Half of the island lost power, although all major circuits are reported to be functioning. The Wyndham Beach Resort is the sole hotel reporting damage. Cruise ships are expected to resume their normal operations later this week.
