Anguilla Launches New Platform for COVID-19 Updates

Anguilla’s Ministry of Health & Social Development has launched a new platform, www.beatcovid19.ai, which will serve as a central space for all official news and updates related to COVID-19. The latest news and information from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Tourism, the Air & Sea Ports Authority (AASPA) and the Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) are all available on this site.

Comprehensive information on the facts about the coronavirus, the status of the disease globally, as well as in Anguilla (where no confirmed case has yet been reported), along with tips and resources outlining simple preventive measures that everyone can take to guard against the virus, are all presented in a clear, concise and easily accessible format. The two emergency hotlines that have been set up are also listed.

The updates on the website extend beyond health-related concerns. There is functionality for persons to input their employment status, a feature that provides the government of Anguilla with key data on the impact of COVID-19 on the labor force and their needs.

The site also has updates from tourism, on travel in and out of Anguilla; education, on the status of all learning institutions; the financial institutions, on the latest financial relief measures; and other key stakeholders that serve large segments of the population.

The Ministry of Health & Social Development worked with the Thoughtful Digital Agency on the development and launch of this platform.
