Agent Receives Free Cruise

Crystal Cruises chose travel agent Jackie Pitts of Portfolio Travel in Washington, D.C. as the winner of a free cruise, available to agents certified through CrystalCruisesAcademy.com.

Pitts won a luxury cruise for two after completing the first phase of Crystal’s online sales training program. Agents who have completed one or both of the training courses and who are registered and certified by August 31 are eligible to win each quarter.

By completing Course I of the sales training, Pitts, who has been with Portfolio Travel Agency for 13 years, gained valuable expertise in selling the Crystal product and will now get to enjoy the experience firsthand.

"We're thrilled that so many agents are becoming experts on Crystal Cruises," said Bill Smith, Crystal's senior vice president, sales and marketing.  "By investing the time to complete this training, agents can further their education on the value of Crystal's distinctive, award-winning product and use the tools to earn higher commissions and greater return business."

The web-based training program is a forum for home-based agents, allowing them to learn at their leisure, while providing traditional brick-and-mortar agencies with a cost-free option for training each travel agent in their office to be a Crystal specialist.

Once agents pass one or both courses with a minimum grade of 80 percent, they are eligible to win a free cruise. Additionally, agents completing Crystal’s online training beginning with the first installment course will also receive the line’s sales binder filled with valuable brochures, insider information not available in regular brochures, sample menus from each restaurant, resources for more information and other sales tools.

Agents certified by CrystalCruisesAcademy.com will receive E-Values, a weekly e-mail update, highlighting the line's current best values to promote to their clients, and will earn CLIA accreditation towards ACC and MCC.
