Amadeus Makes First Sail to Portugal and Spain

In 2008, Amadeus Waterways is launching its first cruise in Portugal and Spain, aboard the Amadouro. "We've always looked into this program, but we feel 2008 is the time to offer it," a spokesperson for the company said. The sailing will make its debut in Amadeus Waterways' 2008/2009 Portugal and Spain brochure, to be distributed in September. The trip starts in Lisbon and sails down the Douro River Valley. Additional stops include Porto and the Trás-os-Montes region. In Spain, guests visit Salamanca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A 5 percent early booking discount is available if trips are reserved by September 30. Visit [www.amadeuswaterways.com].
