AmaWaterways Launches 2014 Itinerary Brochure

AmaWaterways released its 2014 Europe, Russia, Africa and SE Asia line-up with its 2014 Extensive Brochure. The 157-page publication presents a comprehensive collection of itineraries, tours, amenities and ships.

The 2014 Extensive Brochure showcases AmaWaterways’ onboard amenities and offers a look at the company’s itineraries and fleet of ships, which operate in more than 20 countries. Highlights include: 

New Ships: The AmaSonata and AmaReina (sister ships to the AmaPrima and AmaCerto) will debut in Europe in 2014. These deluxe 164-passenger ships will feature Twin Balcony Staterooms and Suites, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs culinary creations, complimentary fine wine and beer at lunch and dinner, multiple dining venues, a heated pool with swim-up bar, massage and beauty salon, fitness center, free in-room Internet and Infotainment, and a fleet of bicycles for guests to borrow and enjoy. The AmaSonata will cruise the Danube and Rhine Rivers on seven itineraries: Tulip Time Cruise, Melodies of the Danube, The Romantic Danube, Blue Danube Discovery, The Legendary Danube, Magnificent Europe and Christmas Time Cruise. The AmaReina will serve The Enchanting Rhine seven-night itinerary.

New Tours: Limited Edition Tours are a new collection of shore excursions with a specific focus. From culinary-themed tours exploring regional specialties to guided bike tours, these complimentary excursions are ideal for guests seeking an alternative to AmaWaterways’ regularly scheduled guided city tour in each port of call.

New Amenities: Complimentary and unlimited fine wines, beer and soft drinks are now served with every lunch and dinner aboard AmaWaterways’ European fleet (with the exception of the AmaKatarina in Russia).

New Land Programs: A second optional land extension will be available on the “Provence & Spain” itinerary in 2014 – two nights in Marseille, France (or three nights in Barcelona, Spain).

New Theme Cruises: The Chocolate Connoisseurs Cruise on the Danube in April 2014 will have host and renowned chocolatier Norman Love. The Knitting New Year’s Cruise on the Danube in December 2014 will showcase the latest in luxury yarns and classes and forums on fashion trends, patterns and techniques. This cruise will be hosted by acclaimed textile expert Barry Klein, owner of Trendsetter Yarns in Los Angeles. 

Africa: New enhancements to AmaWaterways’ 2014 cruise-and-land safari programs include a 15-day Rivers & Rails of Africa itinerary, which features two nights aboard the Rovos Rail luxury train. The 16-day Stars of South Africa and 18-day Golden Trails of East Africa itineraries feature exclusive access to some of the most incredible accommodations in Africa, such as Singita Sweni Lodge and Singita Sabora Tented Camp, both ranked among the world’s “Top 10 Hotels” by Travel + Leisure.
