AmaWaterways Puts World’s Largest River Cruise on Sale

AmaWaterways announced the debut of its World’s Largest River Cruise Sale, featuring promotions on select 2010 and 2011 cruises. The sale is applicable to new FIT bookings made by November 2 departing the United States and Canada. Its promotions support CLIA's World Largest Cruise Night and National Cruise Vacation Month initiatives and include the "2 for 1," "Companion Flies Free" and "Up to $2,000 Savings per Stateroom" offers.

Parliament Building, BudapestThe "2 for 1 promotion" is available on October and November itineraries including Romantic Danube (three nights in Prague, seven from Vilshofen to Budapest), Paris to Amsterdam (three nights in Paris, seven nights from Trier to Amsterdam); Blue Danube Discovery (two nights in Budapest, seven nights from Budapest to Nuremberg and three nights in Prague) and the Rhine Winter Voyage (seven nights from Amsterdam to Basel, two nights in Lucerne and two nights in Zurich). Based on double occupancy, it applies to the cruise portion of the trip and does not apply to Junior Suites or A+ categories.

From November 11 to 22, a wine cruise will take passengers from Amsterdam to Paris, touring the vineyards of the Rhine and Mosel. Join AmaWaterways President, Rudi Schreiner, and Jim Clendenen, owner of Au Bon Climat Winery, and you will get the air travel rate of $500 from JFK and $700 from LAX or SFO, a complimentary upgrade and $100 in spa credit per state room.

For the holidays, the Christmas Time promotion includes $1,000 per state room, a free upgrade and $100 in shipboard credit per stateroom. The promotion runs on the seven-night sailing from Budapest to Nuremberg or from Nuremberg to Amsterdam, including a two-night stay in Prague.

Alternately, the 14-night Magnificent Europe cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam and get the savings of $2,000 per state room, a $200 shipboard credit per statement and a free upgrade.

In 2011, the "Companion Flies Free" or "$1,000 per Stateroom" promotions are available on departures from May to August on select itineraries, including Romantic Danube, Blue Danube Discovery and Melodies of the Danube (seven-night cruise from Budapest to Vilshofen, three nights in Munich), as well as Europe’s Rivers and Castles (two nights in Prague, seven-night cruise from Nuremberg to Luxembourg, three nights in Paris), Vineyards of the Rhine and Mosel (seven-night cruise from Amsterdam to Luxembourg, 3 nights in Paris) and Legendary Danube (three nights in Prague, seven-night cruise from Nuremberg to Budapest) itineraries.
