AmaWaterways to Expand Wellness Program

AmaWaterways has announced a new expansion for its Wellness Program that will go fleetwide in 2019 across Southeast Asia and Europe (except for Portugal). The Wellness Program is led by a dedicated Wellness Host on each ship, who aims to inspire individuals to mindfully achieve their fitness goals, or set new ones.

During their cruise, guests will have the opportunity to participate in group fitness classes – such as stretching, core strengthening and resistance band training – and lectures and discussions related to holistic wellness. Additional Signature classes like yoga, Pilates and circuit training may also be offered. On shore, guests can take part in active excursions including guided hiking, biking and running outings through the cities and villages showcased on each itinerary.

AmaWaterways’ Wellness Program is a recent addition to the company’s health and fitness offerings, including a fleet of complimentary bicycles onboard, a fitness room, pool, and walking track, as well as a massage room and hydration station available 24/7. AmaWaterways has also incorporated healthy food options into all of its menus – including accommodating specialty diets such as gluten-free, low-sodium and vegetarian options.

In 2019, guests onboard AmaMagna, AmaWaterways’ newest ship, will have access to the Zen Wellness Studio, lending more space for group fitness classes, lectures and personal training sessions. Additionally, cruisers can enjoy AmaMagna’s new Al Fresco restaurant, which will have a nature-inspired, open-air design.
