Aqua Expeditions has announced two new hosted voyages for 2017. Following the success of its 2016 programs, guests will now have the opportunity to sail the Mekong River or the Peruvian Amazon with either company founder and CEO Francesco Galli Zugaro or consulting chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino.
Those who sail on a voyage hosted by Zugaro will get to listen to the CEO explain his vision for creating his award-winning cruise company. Guests will be invited to bike local streets along the Mekong or kayak with him on the Amazon. Zugaro will also discuss a wide variety of topics ranging from the conceptualization and design to the construction and launch of each vessel with guests over cocktails. Four-night departures on the Aqua Mekong will sail May 26 and August 25, 2017. The four-night Aria Amazon experience will depart November 6, 2017.
The consulting chef on the Aria Amazon, Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, will host two four-night departures, with sailing dates on October 9 and November 20, 2017, with both destinations sailing the Amazon. Schiaffino is the chef and owner of Malabar and AmAz, two cutting-edge restaurants of Lima, Peru. Guests on board will take cooking classes with the chef and travel together on land to local markets to learn about locally grown and harvested ingredients which are imperative to creating his signature dishes on board, like Schiaffino’s ccoconut tapioca with mango sorbet and causa with shrimp escabeche.
