Atlantis Events Charters Virgin Voyages for LGBTQ+ Cruise

Atlantis Events has chartered Scarlet Lady, Virgin Voyages' first ship, for an LGBTQ+ voyage during its inaugural season in 2020. To celebrate the collaboration, Sir Richard Branson will be exploring New York City on a Virgin Voyages Pride bus.

This exclusive Atlantis voyage will sail a custom seven-night itinerary departing from Miami on May 31, 2020, with visits to Key West, Florida; Cozumel/Playa Del Carmen and Costa Maya, Mexico; and Bimini, Bahamas, home of The Beach Club, Virgin Voyages' private destination.

A Virgin Voyages Pride bus will be riding all around New York City on Saturday, June 29. Onlookers can hop on the bus and paint the city red, purple and rainbow with Sir Richard Branson, Rich Campbell and drag performer Ginger Minj, star of “International Waters,” an edutainment series created by Virgin Voyages to help educate travel advisors.

The bus will host live acts and drag shows. Across Chelsea, the bus will stop at some of the most popular LGBTQ+ spots and bars. Onlookers can take photos on the bus, interact with performers and receive some free limited-edition Virgin Voyages Pride merchandise. The first stop will be Boxers (37 West 20th St. New York, NY 10011) at 3 p.m.

Reservations for Atlantis Events’ exclusive sailing aboard Scarlet Lady will go on sale in early July at AtlantisEvents.com.

In other Virgin Voyages news, Sir Richard Branson and Virgin Voyages President and CEO Tom McAlpin have appointed Captain Wendy Williams as Master of Scarlet Lady. She has over 28 years of experience working several positions on ships at sea.
