Aurora Expeditions Debuts New 2024-2025 Antarctica Program

Australian-owned expedition travel company Aurora Expeditions has released its 2024-2025 Antarctic program packed with 25 voyages ranging from nine to 23 days in duration, visiting the Antarctic Peninsula, Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the Chilean Fjords

New to this season is the "In Shackleton’s Footsteps" itinerary, a 20-day adventure that retraces the historic voyage of the Endurance, venturing into the Weddell Sea to Elephant Island, the desolate outpost where Shackleton and his men finally made landfall after 497 days at sea. The voyage continues across the Scotia Sea to South Georgia, where Shackleton’s voyage reached its climatic conclusion. It departs from Ushuaia, Argentina sailing March 16 to April 4, 2025.

A first for Aurora Expeditions, the adventure travel company will visit the Chilean Fjords, a maze of waterways filled with bird and sea life surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The Fjords are showcased in two itineraries: A 14-day fly/sail "Antarctic Explorer" voyage sailing from March 1-15, 2025 and a 13-day "Spirit of Antarctica" expedition sailing from March 13-25, 2025.

Photography enthusiasts of all levels will love the immersive 13-day "Spirit of Antarctica," which is a dedicated photographic voyage departing November 12, 2024, where travelers will learn photography secrets, tips and tricks through informative lectures and off-ship exploring from professional photographers on board.

Early Bird Rates for New itineraries

Tip: Launching along with the new Antarctic program will be an exclusive early bird offer with savings of up to 25 percent. For travelers short on time and wishing to capitalize their time on the Antarctic Peninsula or wishing to limit their exposure to the infamous Drake Passage, Aurora is offering eight fly/sail or sail/fly combinations during the height of the Antarctic summer, January to February 2025.

Expedition prices include overnight accommodation with ensuite and breakfast prior to expeditions; onboard accommodation; all meals, snacks, tea and coffee during the voyage; beer, wine and soft drinks with dinner; all shore excursions and Zodiac cruises; all lectures; transfers and charter flights as per the itinerary; complimentary three-in-one waterproof polar expedition jacket; port charges, fees, gratuities and Wi-Fi.
