Avalon Waterways Offering Themed Cruises

Avalon Waterways, a division of Globus family brands, has announced new wine- and music-themed cruises, as the river cruise operator looks to further corner the up-and-coming niche market. Globus previously launched religious-themed vacations and just last month unveiled a Beatles-themed Rock 'n Roll vacation. Avalon's 11-day wine cruise, dubbed the Legendary Danube vacation, will journey from Prague to Budapest, and feature wine tastings along the way. There are two departure dates, Nov.1 and 8, with prices starting at $1,849. Conversely, the Magnificent Europe music-themed cruise, departing Nov. 4, will sail along the Danube and Rhine rivers from Amsterdam to Vienna and offer on- and off-board concerts along the way. Prices begin at $2,999. Visit [www.avalonwaterways.com] for more information.
