Avanti Adds Two New Ships to Sail Galapagos and Patagonia Itineraries

Avanti Destinations has added two new small ships to sail Galapagos and Patagonia itineraries. The ships have been added to Avanti Destinations' lineup of small ships for eco-adventure itineraries.

The new M/C Petrel, set to sail among the Galapagos Islands, was built using state-of-the-art technology to make the ship's movement smoother, Avanti said. The ship offers a Jacuzzi for unwinding after explorations and eight cabins with private balconies. Three- and four-day tours on the M/C Petrel start at $4,095 and $5,125 per person, respectively, based on double occupancy.

The newly-built Ventus Australis will begin sailing along the Patagonian coast off Argentina and Chile in January 2018. The ship is being built to enable it to travel between the narrow fjords and channels of Patagonia, Avanti said. Prices are to be announced this summer.

In addition to small ship cruises, Avanti offers accommodations, add-on tours and transfers in both regions. A new customizable Galapagos Luxury itinerary for three, four or seven nights at an all-inclusive 5-star property on Santa Cruz Island, including eco-tours, yacht exploration tours, all meals and transfers, as well as the national park fee, stars at $5,595 per person (double occupancy) for three nights.

Avanti Destinations has been selling independent travel products and customizable vacations in Europe, Central and South America and Asia since 1981. The Portland, Oregon-based wholesale tour operator offers a wide range of FIT components to travel agents only, including air, rail, rental cars, hotels, sightseeing/attractions, transfers and experiential travel options.  Avanti specializes in hand picked, locally-owned hotels in both large and small cities and connecting all the pieces of multi-destination itineraries.
