Beyond Cruises Announces Seven Day Cruise on Rhone River

Beyond Cruises by Group IST will launch a new barge cruise in southeastern France, with one trip starting in 2018 on August 10 as well as four tours in 2019, starting on July 12 and 26, August 9 and October 18.

The Romantic Provence cruise will travel through the Provence region for seven days, starting in Arles, following along the Rhone River and ending in Sete. The cruise will focus on the fine dining, wine and local history of the region.

Guests will start in Arles, which is known for its Roman ruins, with a tasting tour of local foods. Next, stopping in Gallican, Aigues-Mortes and Palavas-Les-Flots, guests will visit churches, salt marshes, salt museums and spas. At the end of the cruise in Sete, there will be a trip to Étang De Thau, known for its shellfish. The excursion will include a visit to the Étang De Thau Museum where guests can learn about shellfish farmers and fishermen.

Guests will ride on the M/S Anne-Marie Barge, a ship with 11 cabins and a capacity of 22 passengers. The ship’s amenities include a lounge bar, access to a Jacuzzi and a barbecue deck. All drinks, except for premium ones, are included in the cost of the cruise. The cruise price includes transfers on the first and last day to and from Avignon.
