Carnival Adds Six- to 10-Day Cruises From Mobile

Carnival Cruise Line is adding a number of new, longer-length voyages from Mobile, AL, in 2018, according to a statement from the line provided to Travel Agent.

The new voyages include two six-day cruises to Cozumel and Grand Cayman or Mahogany Bay (Isla Roatan), departing April 29 and November 11, 2018. A new eight-day voyage departing April 21, 2018, will visit Costa Maya (Mexico), Mahogany Bay, Belize, Cozumel, and Progreso, Mexico, and a second eight-day voyage departing November 3, 2018, will visit Key West, Freeport, Nassau and the private Bahamian destination of Princess Cays.

Finally, the line has said it will offer a 10-day Carnival Journeys cruise that includes a partial transit of the Panama Canal and calls at Limon (Costa Rica), Mahogany Bay and Cozumel departing September 17, 2018.

“It is not uncommon for us to change up an itinerary rotation on an occasional basis to offer new options to our guests,” a spokesperson for the line tells Travel Agent. “However, it is customary with all ports we operate from, that we will open inventory approximately 18 months out. “

Carnival began operating cruises from Mobile onboard the Carnival Fantasy in the fall of 2016 following an absence of a few years. The ship, which underwent a multimillion-dollar refurbishment prior to its deployment to Mobile, currently sails a lineup of four-day cruises to Cozumel and five-day cruises to Cozumel and Costa Maya or Progreso.

Notable enhancements to the Carnival Fantasy include a number of amenities from the line’s Fun Ship 2.0 program, including Guy’s Burger Joint, developed in tandem with Food Network star Guy Fieri, two poolside watering holes, the RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar, and the BlueIguana Cantina Mexican-themed eatery.
