Carnival Completes Onboard Cell Phone Service Implementation

Guests aboard all 21 Carnival Cruise Lines ships can now make and receive calls and transmit and receive texts on their cell phones and BlackBerrys while at sea. The Carnival Liberty was the last ship to have the service installed, which is made possible through an agreement between the cruise line and Wireless Maritime Services. The service is compatible with virtually any cellular phone and does not require any additional software or special dialing procedures, but international roaming fees do apply.
