Carnival Cruise Line to Sponsor ASTA Memberships

carnival breezeCarnival Cruise Line has announced a new plan to sponsor $10,000 in membership dues for travel agents looking to join the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA)

Carnival said the plan will create an easy way for agents to receive the advocacy, consumer awareness, professional development and other benefits of ASTA membership. 

“By creating new pathways for more travel agents to join ASTA, Carnival is supporting our industry at the highest level,” said Zane Kerby, president and CEO of ASTA.

“We are extremely honored to partner with ASTA and NACTA in growing and maintaining their membership base,” said Mike Julius, vice president – U.S field sales for Carnival.

ASTA said it will continue to work alongside our industry suppliers to create membership programs to enhance the supplier-agent relationship, making sure that all agents can have access to ASTA’s network of resources and benefits. 

Earlier this year Carnival Corporation funded ASTA’s independent study, “Best of Both Worlds: Quantifying How Travel Agents Save Consumers Time and Money”.
