Carnival Cruise Line to Visit Princess Cays

Carnival Cruise Line has added the private Bahamian destination of Princess Cays to the itineraries of six different Carnival ships, with sail dates beginning in May 2017. Carnival Cruise Line ships are expected to make 40 calls to Princess Cays in 2017 and another 98 the following year.

Operated by Carnival’s sibling brand Princess Cruises, Princess Cays is a tropical getaway destination located on the southern tip of Eleuthera Island in The Bahamas. The facility includes a 40-acre complex with an observation tower for panoramic views of the island, along with bars, restaurants and retail shops with local crafts, souvenirs and artwork. Miles of white-sand beaches and clear water filled with tropical fish are well-suited for a variety of aquatic sports.

A complimentary barbeque lunch will be available to guests visiting the island. After lunch, guests are invited to participate in a variety of excursions, including dune buggy riding, glass bottom boat tours, paddle boarding, wind surfing and kayaking. Clamshells and private bungalows are available for rent on many of Princess Cays palm tree lined beaches, connected via a series of paved paths.

A variety of optional enhancements, including additional, larger and more efficient tenders, are available to help facilitate getting guests ashore quickly and comfortably.

Ships offering calls at Princess Cays include Carnival Pride, Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Elation, Carnival Liberty and Carnival Sensation. Embarkation ports include Baltimore, Charleston, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Port Canaveral and Miami.

Princess Cays is just one of several private destinations and cruise facilities operated by parent company Carnival Corporation, in addition to Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos; Puerta Maya, Cozumel; Mahogany Bay, Rotan; and Amber Cove, Dominican Republic.
