Celebrity Galaxy To Join TUI Fleet

Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Galaxy will be the first ship of TUI Cruises, the new brand designed for German-speaking clientele that was established through a joint venture between Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and TUI AG

Celebrity Galaxy will complete its scheduled sailings through its March 2, 2009, itinerary, then join TUI Cruises in May under a new name and sail the summer in the Baltic, Caribbean in the winter.

The 1,870-passenger Celebrity Galaxy joined Celebrity Cruises' fleet in December 1996, and this month was fitted with $4-million worth of renovations including new carpeting, upholstery and lighting.
