Compagnie du Ponant Launches Brochure for Antarctica 2014/2015 Voyages

Compagnie du Ponant launched its new e-brochure of expeditions in Antarctica for the 2014/2015 season.

From November 2014 to January 2015, Compagnie du Ponant offers three different Antarctic itineraries, including nine Ushuaia-Ushuaia departures. These protected sites can only be reached by small ships, which in this region must limit their onboard guests to 200 maximum.

Voyages include:

  • Emblematic Antarctica:  A full immersion in the Great White Antarctic Peninsula, discovering icebergs and the drifting pack ice where fur seals and colonies of Gentoo, Adelie and Chinstrap penguins live. Ushuaia - Ushuaia (11 days / 10 nights) - seven departures from November 2014 to February 2015. From $6,737 per person, all-inclusive (direct flights and transfers from Buenos Aires included)
  • Historic Antarctica:  Sail along the awesome white expanses of the Antarctic Peninsula and explore the grassy moorlands of the Falkland Islands. Ushuaia - Montevideo (16 days / 15 nights) - Departs February 28, 2015. From $7,604 per person, all-inclusive (direct flights and transfers from Buenos Aires included)
  • The Great Southern Loop:  Highlights of three regions: Falklands and the black-browed albatross, South Georgia with its Emperor Penguins and the northern side of the Antarctic Peninsula with its majestic icebergs. Ushuaia - Ushuaia (16 days / 15 nights) - Departs Dec. 19, 2014. From USD $11,238 per person, all-inclusive (direct flights and transfers from Buenos Aires included)

Copagnie du Ponant recently appointed Australian luxury expedition cruise pioneer Sarina Bratton to head its local operations in the Australian and Asian markets. In her new role, Bratton will spearhead Compagnie du Ponant's international development, with a focus on the Asia Pacific region, as both key destinations and source markets.

Also recently, the company announced 10 different South American itineraries traveling from Panama in Central America, and crossing the Panama Canal all the way to the Tierra del Fuego archipelago of southern Chile and around Cape Horn, calling on countries including Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia.
