Costa Luminosa Hosts First Cruise Baltic Meeting at Sea

Cruise Baltic partners are shown with Claus Bodker and his marketing team onboard Costa Luminosa's Deck 9 at the Port of Stockholm.

Cruise Baltic partners boarded Costa Cruises' Costa Luminosa this week for the cruise group's first meeting at sea. Founded in 2004, Cruise Baltic is a network of 29 cruise destinations in the Baltic Sea that span 10 countries.

Claus Bødker, Cruise Baltic's director, was "at the helm" for the event, which attracted delegates from 21 of the destinations. The ship called at Helsinki, Finland, St. Petersburg, Russia and Tallinn, Estonia

In addition to the shipboard meetings, the group also had shore-side visits in Helsinki and Tallinn, hosted by those two Cruise Baltic destination partners; members visited top attractions and sampled traditional hospitality.

One prime goal of the meeting afloat was to give Cruise Baltic partners the opportunity to interact with Costa Cruises’ senior operational team. The partners received a behind-the-scenes tour of Costa Luminosa, and met with the ship's captain and senior officers for questions.

Presentations were also made by Marie McKenzie, vice president, global destinations services and sourcing, Carnival Corporation, and Giancarlo Tedesco, head of sales for Scandinavia, Costa Crociere.
