Ecoventura's "newest and greenest premium-vessel" MV Theory, sister-ship to MV Origin, embarked on its inaugural voyage on March 3. The 20-passenger mega-yacht, named after Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution will cruise through the Galapagos Islands.
The luxury vessel has 10 premium cabins, each room offering large, three-panel panoramic windows, private bathrooms and convertible twin beds. Similar to its sister ship, onboard amenities will include a full-time concierge, fitness center, a sundeck, an open-bar policy and a Jacuzzi. In the ship’s dining room, guests can enjoy locally inspired Ecuadorian cuisine, and vegetarian and gluten-free meals. Being eco-friendly, MV Theory’s sustainable features will include reusable water bottles, ecological toilets and an advanced water treatment.
The newest vessel of Ecoventura’s fleet, will also allow guests to experience daily excursions on shore. Water sports include snorkeling, glass-bottom boats, kayaking, stand-up paddle board tours. Any of which can bring guests face-to-face with the Galapagos’ wildlife, including sea lions, blue footed boobies, penguins and tortoises. Operating on current cruising schedule, the vessel will rotate between two seven-night itineraries, and can be combined into a comprehensive two-week excursion.
MV Theory’s rates for 2019 start at $7,850 per person based on double occupancy, and include all meals, beverages and snacks, captain’s welcome and farewell social gatherings, an open-bar, including wine and spirits, guided shore excursions, snorkel equipment and multiple stand-up paddle boards and sea kayaks, as well as transfers in the islands between the airport and dock.
