Crystal Announces Shorter and Longer Cruises for Varied Schedules

Crystal Cruises has announced two new itinerary types that will aim to offer more options for travelers seeking global journeys, as well as those with limited time for traveling widely. The cruise line's "Grand Journeys" combine existing worldwide itineraries available aboard the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, allowing guests to extend their exploration, while "Crystal Getaways" offer shorter segments of longer sailing that accommodate travelers with busy schedules.

New for 2019 and 2020, Crystal Grand Journeys will sail the Mediterranean and Western Europe, Caribbean, Central America, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. With numerous overnights and few repeated ports, the selection of voyages ranges from 14 to 27 days. The Grand Journeys afford travelers the option to either explore multiple regions or immerse themselves in one specific corner of the globe over the course of the vacation. The Greek Isles, Holy Land and Italian countryside are all featured on one expanded itinerary, while another explores Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica and New Orleans along a Gulf Coast route.

As the Crystal Grand Journeys comprise all the onboard and shore side options and amenities of Crystal voyages, nearly every voyage offers specialized programming of at least one of the company's Experiences of Discovery theme cruises. Other programming includes Broadway hits and jazz, wine and food, golf, ballroom dance and more.

For 2020, Crystal also offers travelers three new Crystal Getaways, sailing through the islands of Hawaii and the South Pacific, as well as Southeast Asia, ranging from seven to 14 days. The shorter options enable guests to fill their limited travel time, while also offering value.
