Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth to Feature New Mareel Spa Concept

Cunard’s the Queen Elizabeth will debut the luxury cruise line’s new spa concept later this month. Mareel Wellness & Beauty, developed in partnership with wellness company Canyon Ranch, will introduce new treatments, use sustainable products and coincide with renovated facilities.

The Ocean Discovery will launch as the program’s signature treatment and feature organic marine-based products from VOYA sustainably harvested in western Ireland. Other treatment highlights will include the Taste the Ocean Fully Body Experience, Organic Seaweed Leaf Wrap, Luminescence Massage and Age-Defying Restorative Facial.

The new brand will provide a holistic focus with a menu of mineral-rich seawater and marine-based experiences. Mareel Wellness & Beauty will bring a new range of luxury products from Red Flower, Shankara and Environ that feature organic ingredients that are sustainably harvested, wild-picked, biodynamic and toxin-free.

As part of a ship-wide renovation this November, the Queen Elizabeth will also feature a refurbished spa facility. Changes include a new couples suite for seaweed bathing ritual, a meditation room with acoustic resonance loungers, a redesigned multifunctional fitness center and studio space and sound therapy facilities in every treatment room.

Cunard’s new Mareel Wellness & Beauty program will eventually roll out across the company’s entire fleet. The Queen Victoria is expected to shortly follow the Queen Elizabeth and Cunard’s flagship liner Queen Mary 2 will receive the updates in November 2020.
