Cunard has announced that it will welcome the former secretary of defense, Dr. Robert Gates, as its featured guest aboard the Queen Mary 2 during its "Cunard Insights" transatlantic crossing on August 11, which will travel from Southampton to New York.
Gates, who served as U.S. secretary of defense from 2006 to 2011, will speak with guests during two “Q&A” sessions, along with the Queen Mary 2’s entertainment director. Passengers will also have the opportunity attend a book-signing event during the voyage.
Dr. Robert Gates currently serves on the board of directors of Starbucks and is a partner in the consulting firm RHG LLC.
