European Waterways Launches 2011 Season with 21 Hotel Barges

European Waterways have launched their 2011 season with a fleet of 21 luxury hotel barges cruising the canals, rivers and other waterways of France, Italy, Scotland, England, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.

The new itinerary brochure features the addition of the six-passenger Fleur de Lys and the eight-passenger Amaryllis, both of which will cruise the picturesque Lower Burgundy region. La Bella Vita, another recent addition to the fleet, will celebrate its first season with European Waterways in 2011.

A newly-refitted 20-passenger vessel, La Bella Vita will cruise between Venice and the beautiful Renaissance city of Mantua via the Venetian Lagoon, River Po and the Bianco Canal.

Bookings are now being accepted for cruises on these and all European Waterways’ other hotel barges, and offer a minimum of 10 percent commission to travel agents.

European Waterways provides high quality cruises on its intimate “floating hotels” along the beautiful inland waterways of France and other countries to travelers seeking scenery, history, local culture, gourmet meals, and fine wines.

From the vineyards of Burgundy to the spectacular Scottish Highlands; from the sun-drenched waterways of the South of France to the magical Venetian Lagoon – every enchanting voyage is a truly memorable experience.

Each 6-night, all-inclusive cruise includes all meals, selected regional wines, open bar, daily escorted excursions, local transfers, and the use of all barge amenities such as bicycles and spa pools. European Waterways also offers a wide range of themed cruises, focusing on activities such as golf, walking and wine appreciation.

The fully-crewed luxury vessels accommodate between 4 and 20 passengers. Clients can charter a whole boat with family and friends, or join a small group of like-minded travelers on an individual cabin basis. Crews include a captain, chef, tour guide, and hostess.
