There must be something in the water lately as the cruise news just keeps pouring in. The 2009 Expedia CruiseShipCenters National Conference kicked off last week and began with a good start as over 250 franchise owners, cruise line representatives and corporate support staff gathered aboard Carnival Splendor for an educational week-long cruise.
The cruise, in the Mexican Riviera, includes a medley of presentations, workshops, forums and one-on-one meetings.
"We've just come out of our most successful growth month ever with October bookings up 72 percent over last year," said Matthew Eichorst, President of Expedia CruiseShip Centers. "And if that isn't enough great news, as of Saturday we've added 900 new Cruise consultants to our team in this year alone!"
