Holland America Adds Group Function to Booking Tool

Holland America Line has added new group booking features to POLAR online, the line's online booking tool. Travel agents booking groups will now be able to cross-reference groups as they are sold and agents will be able to view Mariner promotions and promotion codes for group contracts. Other capabilities include cloning bookings; the ability to generate and e-mail contract and financial reports; view applied amenities and amenity points remaining; and monitor tour conductor ratio. "We've added these new functions to simplify booking and managing groups of staterooms which can be challenging," said Richard Meadows, Holland America's executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programs. In addition, Meadows announced that Holland America had named a new vice president of sales, Paul Allen, who will be responsible for the development and implementation of Holland America's sales strategies. Allen previously served as Holland America's vice president for Alaska marketing and sales. Visit [www.travelagentheadquarters.com].
