Holland America Line has added new marketing, sales and training tools for travel sellers to its full-featured Travel Agent Headquarters online portal.
Eight categories are featured on the Travel Agent Headquarters site:
Groups: The Groups tab shows how to develop group business, book a variety of group sizes, tailor group packages and programs, and perform a variety of booking functions, including online check-in, luggage tag requests and air requests. The Groups tab also details the line’s Group Amenities Program that specifically caters to weddings, family reunions, culinary and educational groups.
Manage My Booking: Travel partners can use the Manage My Booking tab to place gift orders, check-in online, download forms, submit a luggage tag request, view announcements and more relating to existing bookings.
Marketing Tools: The Marketing Tools tab enables travel sellers to personalize advertising templates, order sales materials, build email tools, order customizable direct mail, browse e-brochures and fleet facts, apply for the Individual Incentive Program and download online banners, images and videos. With the emails, travel sellers can select and create customized, free emails on all product destinations, and the customizable direct mail program offers travel partners the opportunity to personalize four-color promotional mailing projects.
New Reservations via POLAR Online: Travel partners can book their clients through the New Reservations tab. Those not proficient with the booking engine can view a series of short POLAR Online training videos to master the various functions of the online booking tool. The 17 video training sessions range from one to 15 minutes, and enable agents to complete a variety of tasks without having to call Holland America Line’s reservation center for assistance.
News: When changes happen or announcements are made at Holland America Line or within the cruise industry, the News tab features everything from new policies and passport requirements to press releases and online changes.
Promotions: Under this tab, travel partners can view Holland America Line’s latest promotional offers, including appreciation fares and destination-specific offers.
Sales Tools: Using the Sales Tools tab, travel partners can access phone numbers, email addresses and fax numbers for a variety of departments, including reservations, POLAR assistance, shore excursions reservations, groups, incentive and charters, onboard events and sales. Training: Travel sellers around the world can enroll in HAL Academy, Holland America Line’s program of advanced travel industry training through the Training tab. The program is designed to support travel professionals in their quest for continuing knowledge about travel sales, the cruise industry and Holland America Line. Subjects covered in the on-line course include an introduction to premium cruising, a sales primer, identifying Holland America Line and cruise prospects, an overview of destinations and available sales support, building groups and writing a marketing plan.
