Hong Kong appointed Bob Sharak as its North American cruise representative. Sharak, president of Bob Sharak & Associates, is a Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) veteran and well-regarded cruise and travel industry expert.
Prior to forming his own company in 2013, Sharak spent more than 20 years at CLIA where he rose in the ranks to EVP of marketing and distribution, responsible for furthering the association’s strategic goals and objectives and serving the needs of more than 14,000 travel agency members, over 100 executive partners and 26-member cruise lines. During his time at CLIA, he developed the association’s annual National Cruise Vacation Month campaign, World’s Largest Cruise Night campaign and managed the global cruise industry statistical reporting and consumer research.
As a well-known cruise industry expert with decades of experience, Bob Sharak will support the Hong Kong Tourism Board through strategic input, market intelligence and an interface with the cruise industry to position Hong Kong as Asia’s cruise hub.
