This month, expedition cruise line Hurtigruten launches its newly designed online booking engine where agents can get real-time booking options and cabin availability 24 hours. Agents can register at agents.hurtigruten.com, where they can also become Certified Hurtigruten Specialists at the Hurtigruten Academy and obtain additional benefits, support and commissions.
Online, agents can watch a video tutorial, download the user guide, check out the site's FAQs and get 24/7 customer support. Agents can put together itineraries by first choosing a package of six-, seven- or 12-night Norwegian Coastal Voyage sailings, or one of Hurtigruten’s Explorer sailings to Antarctica, Greenland or the Arctic's Spitsbergen.
Customized Norwegian Coastal Voyage sailings can also be created for specific port-to-port itineraries. Agents who choose a departure date on the site will open a window showing the ship, available cabins/suites and pricing. Then, agents can select the cabin or suite category/price before loading a new page requesting client information, special request, if air is required and specific cabin/suite choice.
Optional excursions can be selected, after which the final booking information must be reviewed including address, contact info, agency info and a detail box showing all components of the trip and their costs. A confirmation will then load and can be printed out. Agents can also look up and adjuts prior bookings.
