Liquid Alaska Tours Buys and Re-Launches Port Promotions

Alaska shore excursion specialist Liquid Alaska Tours has purchased the assets of shore excursion provider Port Promotions, and is re-launching the brand with an expanded array of excursions in ports around the globe.

Liquid Alaska Tours has spent months updating and improving Port Promotions' website and back-end systems, reinforcing relationships with travel agent and service providers and expanding the choice of shore excursions, said Liquid Alaska Tours founder and president Jeff Fanning

"We’re delighted that we have re-contracted with many of the former company’s valued local operators, and are continually adding new partners and additional ports for 2015 and beyond," Fanning said. "The website has been completely redone with a modern design."

On the website, agents can enter the cruise line, name of ship and departure date, and then view an array of excursions for each port with one click.

Port Promotions will also offer multi-port packages that save over the cost of similar excursions purchased on-board. Transfers to and from ports are also available in most destinations. Agents new to Port Promotions can sign up directly from the home page by clicking the “Travel Agent Partners” link. Confirmation will be granted within two business days. All itineraries are commissionable.

New excursions for 2015 range from eco-adventures in St. Kitts to culinary tours in Victoria, BC, and more.

Port Promotions has adopted the customer service policies of Liquid Alaska Tours, including a guarantee that excursions will return to the cruise ships on time. Flights, meals, and accommodations are included in the guarantee. All tours that cancel because of weather will be fully refunded with no fees or penalties. If the ship is late arriving in port, guests should contact the tour operator by calling the local number on their voucher. As a general rule, operators will try to delay the tour departure time or provide a later departure, if possible.
