InsightCuba Launches New Small Ship Cruise Brand: Masala Expeditions

InsightCuba has launched a new small ship cruise brand: Masala Expeditions. Building on the company's offerings in Cuba, the new brand offers six small ship cruises specializing in a people-to-people style of travel. This type of travel offers new ways for travelers to experience a destination beyond the typical tourist activities, InsightCuba said. 

Masala Expeditions small ships allow easy access to ports larger cruise ships can’t reach, allowing the opportunity for fresh itineraries. The line's largest vessel, the M/Y Voyager, has 36 cabins. 

Itineraries

Sail the Greek Isles: 10-day tour from 4,095 per person – Journey begins in Athens and calls in Poliegos, Folegandros, Santorini, Paros, Mykonos, Syros, and more. 

Cruise Dubai and Seychelles: 11-day tour from $3,895 per person – Sails from Dubai where guests can explore the cities indoor theme parks, underwater zoo and spend an afternoon on a safari. Guests will then catch a flight to Seychelles where they will spend eight days sailing on a luxury yacht. 

Safari in Kenya and Cruise Seychelles: 10-day tour from $3,495 per person – Highlights of the trip include: visiting the Maasai Mara National Reserve, exploring the Rift Valley and touring Nairobi, Kenya. Guests will also visit Curieuse and sail the shores of Cousin Island. The journey ends on the M/Y Pegasus in the Seychelles.

Sail Spain and Portugal: 10-day tour from $4,695 per person – offers guests the opportunity to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Alhambra and the Genralife Gardens. The cruise portion sets sail in Malaga and calls in Motril, Granada, Gilbraltar, Seville and ends in Portugal. Other trip highlights include: visiting the Strait of Gilbraltar and visiting the world’s largest gothic cathedral in Seville

Cruise Iceland: Eight-day tour from $4,695 per person – Starts in Reykjavik, Iceland before embarking on the M/Y Callisto. Guests will visit Heimaey Island, Lake Myvatn, and the Godafass Waterfall among other stops. 

Sail the Dalmatian Coast: 14-day tour from $5,795 per person – Seven days touring Croatia’s major cities before setting sail on a cruise along the Dalmatian Coast. The cruise calls in Zagreb, Opatija, Korcula, Hvar and the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro
