MSC Cruises Upgrades Travel Agent Website

MSC Cruises has upgraded its travel agent website, which was designed for easier and faster access to product information, promotional/marketing tools, recent news and other enhancements.

New aspects of the website include:

New Design & Layout – Designed with a cleaner and more modern layout and vivid images, the MSC Cruises Agent site is simple to navigate, featuring richer content and a more user-friendly experience.

Faster and Easier Updates – Powered by Sitefinity CMS, the new site will allow for faster and easier updates along with overall improved functionality.

Tool Kit Section – Prominently displayed on the site, this important section houses all promotional/marketing materials with quick and easy access to detailed product information, html emails, e-cards, e-brochures, flyers and web banners, among other essential features.

Social Media Page – Travel partners will now be able to effortlessly share promotions and news with their social networks with one easy click. This section includes suggested Twitter copy and promotional images in the appropriate dimension and format.

Enhanced News – MSC news will be front and center of the newly designed site, providing agents with first-hand access to the latest MSC information right away.

The upgraded site follows MSC Divina’s debut in North America on Nov. 20, during which the brand hosted more than 1800 travel agents and press for her first Caribbean sailing from Miami. Christened by actress, Sophia Loren , MSC Divina holds 1,751 staterooms, 322,900 square feet of public space, a casino, seven restaurants, 18 bars and lounges, five swimming pools (including an infinity pool), Formula 1 Simulator, 4-D Cinema, bowling alley, theater, gym, spa, internet café, conference center, kids and teen areas, and the line’s signature ship within a ship, MSC Yacht Club.

Along with MSC Divina's debut, MSC Cruises honored some of the line’s leading North American travel partners during a True Partners presentation. Award criteria included overall business growth in revenue and guests, partnership support and marketing efforts that increses consumer awareness, and other attributes. Partners recognized include: Cruise One, Cruise.com, Ralph Santisteban & Associates/Cruises One, Transat Holidays and Expedia Cruiseshipcenters, Laval.

Another ship technology that MSC Cruises is rolling out is the Traveler Web App to reserve a variety of services on board, from booking a table in the ship’s restaurants to saving a seat on popular shore excursions. Guests can also stay connected with other passengers, and check-in and check-out of different public spaces on board. They can also use the app to book two dining venues, which were created in partnership with Italian restaurant emporium Eataly in Manhattan, N.Y., including Ristorante Italia and regional steakhouse, Eataly Steakhouse, fashioned after the restaurant in Eataly’s Manhattan location.
