Windstar Cruises made some organizational changes last month when they eliminated the position of president, resulting in Diane Moore leaving the company.
She was replaced by Hanz Birkholz, president and CEO of Ambassadors International Inc. and CEO of Windstar Cruises. The company issued a statement assuring customers that its dedication to elegant service and appreciation of guest loyalty will continue to remain the same.
Under Birkholz, Windstar will implement the next phase of its Degrees of Difference initiative, which will feature added amenities and enhancements to the fleet. These include enhancements to the spa and dining experiences as well as the onboard and onshore activities. The restaurant menus on all three ships will be revamped with new dishes, and Wind Surf's restaurant Degrees now features a rotating menu. Guests can also expect brand new fitness equipment to be installed on Wind Star's gym in November of this year.
