This summer guests aboard Norwegian Cruise Line will be able to avail of updated offerings in the line’s complimentary dining venues. This enhancement is part of Norwegian's NEXT program, which aims to bring “new enhancements, experiences and transformations” across the fleet.

Guests will see a number of expansions regarding their dining options. A selection of new menus featuring more contemporary cuisine will be introduced in the ships main dining rooms. Menu options will change with the ship itinerary, with different offerings available on each evening.
The ship’s culinary team aim to balance a selection of traditional fare such as prime rib, chateaubriand, rack of lamb and escargot with contemporary dining trends. This will include increased seafood options like grouper, barramundi, sushi and crab dishes alongside additions such as mojito shrimp ceviche and braised beef short ribs with Cajun shrimp. The number of dishes will also increase with up to 12 starters and up to 15 entrees available per evening. The menu itself is undergoing a revamp with a sleeker design, wine pairing and anecdotal culinary history.
O’Sheehans Neighborhood Bar & Grill available on board Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Jewel is introducing exclusive specialty dish nights such as prime rib, all-you-can-eat baby back ribs, and chicken and waffles.
Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy the cruises dedicated Chocolate Night, which will see a selection of up to seven specialty chocolate desserts being served up in every restaurant on one evening of the cruise. Choices will include a warm chocolate volcano, a chocolate Nutella pot de crème and the white chocolate strawberry mousse.
In addition travellers will be able to make reservations for complimentary dining rooms up to 90 days prior to the cruise date. Guests will be able to reserve a table at 5:30 pm, 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8:30 pm, for a party size of up to 12 guests.
The new menus and concepts will be available on most of Norwegian’s fleet by July 31, and onboard Norwegian Jade, Norwegian Spirit, Norwegian Sky and Pride of America by early 2015.
