Oasis of the Seas Virtual Expo to Aid Agents' Cruise Sales

Agents looking to learn up on Royal Caribbean International's Oasis of the Seas have an ample opportunity to do so at the Oasis of the Seas Virtual Expo, an online exhibition for the travel agent community dedicated to the amenities and  experiences aboard the ship. The Expo will feature live chat sessions with Royal Caribbean executives as well as exclusive information and downloadable materials and brochures to help agents market and sell the new ship.

The virtual expo will be held  September 29 and 30, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET each day. All information of the virtual expo will be archived and accessible for 365 days after the event. Travel agents can register online at www.royalcaribbeanvirtualshow.com.

“The Oasis of the Seas Virtual Expo will be a forum for our valued travel agent partners to ask any questions and discuss new ways to sell cruises and increase profits through the new ship,” said Vicki Freed, senior vice president of sales, trade support and services for Royal Caribbean International.

When it launches in December 2009, Oasis of the Seas will be the largest cruise ship in the world. It will span 16 decks, encompass 220,000 gross registered tons, carry 5,400 guests at double occupancy, and feature 2,700 staterooms. It will be the first ship to tout the cruise line’s new neighborhood concept of seven distinct themed areas, which includes Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone. The ship will sail from her home port of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
