Oceania Cruises Chairman Praises AVC Record

America’s Vacation Center / Avoya Travel, MiamiFL announced that 2009 was the best year ever in the company’s history. The record year was based on every measure of success including the number of Live Leads generated, overall bookings, and sales performance, AVC said. The company also won praise from Oceania Cruise founder Frank Del Rio.

In 2009, AVC said  year-over-year sales increased and in the fourth quarter alone sales, commissions, and average Independent Affiliate (independent agent) earnings were up more than 50 percent. The outstanding results emphasize that AVC’s Shared Success model has flourished and continues to create opportunity for new Independent Affiliates to build a prosperous business and earn more money, AVC said.

“America’s Vacation Center / Avoya Travel had a great year with Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises and continues to be a frontrunner in the travel industry,” said Frank Del Rio, founder of Oceania Cruises and Chairman and CEO of Prestige Cruise Holdings.

“Each year since its inception, Oceania Cruises has had the pleasure of inducting America’s Vacation Center / Avoya Travel into our Connoisseur Club for top-producing travel agency partners, recognizing their notable accomplishments, integrity, and professionalism. We value our relationship with America’s Vacation Center / Avoya Travel and look forward to furthering our mutual prosperity in 2010,” Del Rio said.

AVC said it  attributes its success to the significant advancements made in 2009, including increased marketing, new program and technology developments, and the Travel Agent Stimulus Plan. Through the program the company invested millions to the travel agency community, with a large amount dedicated to increasing Live Leads.

Using patent-pending technology, AVC said its Independent Affiliates can build their businesses with Live Leads, which are quality customers proactively planning their next vacation. With the success of the Travel Agent Stimulus Plan and various 2009 initiatives coming to fruition, the company’s network of Independent Affiliates are servicing more customers and are making higher commissions on average per Independent Affiliate than ever before.

“America’s Vacation Center / Avoya Travel has embraced the idea that times of change are times of opportunity and our company and Independent Affiliates have adapted to changes in the economy and consumer behavior,” said Brad Anderson, Co-President of AVC. “As a result we not only survived in 2009, but we’ve thrived. The start of 2010 has been better than forecasted and we’re optimistic about continuing our efforts to ensure a strong future for our network.”

America’s Vacation Center / Avoya Travel has a long-standing reputation in the travel industry for being one of the top-producing travel agencies worldwide, but does not release financial details on its performance.

AVC has been a part of the American Express Travel Representative Network for over 20 years.  AVC has recently received notable accolades, including being named ‘Travel Agency of the Year’, by Carnival Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, American Express Travel, Oceania Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, and Brendan Vacations.
