Report: Norwegian Cuts St. Lucia From Schedule

St. Luica News Online is reporting that there will be no return for Norwegian Cruise Lines to St. Lucia this year.

The cruise line omitted St. Lucia from its 2010-2012 schedule, due to attacks on its passengers, which occurred on three different occasions, while they were sightseeing on the island, according to the report.

Since then Sen. Allen Chastanet, St. Lucia's minister of tourism and civil aviation, had been meeting with the cruise line authorities to convince them to keep St. Lucia on their schedule to no avail.

Chastanet announced at a press conference yesterday that NCL will not be returning to the island.
