Silversea’s New World Cruise to Visit All Seven Continents

Silversea has opened bookings for its newest World Cruise. Set to depart Fort Lauderdale on January 6, 2020, the itinerary onboard Silver Whisper will visit all seven continents, including Antarctica, calling at 62 ports in 32 countries over the course of 140 days.

The World Cruise will include a number of long stays and overnights, Silversea said, as well as a passage through both the Northern and Southern Fjords. In total, there will be 40 new destinations from the 2018 and 2019 Silversea World Cruise itineraries, along with some returning favorites. Throughout the voyage, Silversea’s Expedition team will be on hand to share their knowledge and expertise with guests.

From Florida, Silver Whisper will bear southeast, passing through the Caribbean and along the northern shores of South America, stopping at a selection of destinations. Rounding Cape Branco, Silver Whisper will set course for the Antarctica Peninsula, where guests will be able to enjoy guided tours on Zodiac boats. From Antarctica, the World Cruise 2020 will transport guests around Cape Horn, through the Chilean Fjords, and towards French Polynesia, with stops at Papeete, Bora Bora, and Vanuatu. Sydney, Melbourne, and the southern coast of Australia precede Bali, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Mumbai, among others. Next, the World Cruise will journey between Mumbai and Rome, navigating the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea. Following the coasts of France, Spain and Portugal, Silver Whisper will then head for Dublin, from where the ship will visit the Norwegian Fjords, before completing the voyage in northern Europe. Silversea’s World Cruise 2020 will conclude in Amsterdam on May 25.

The World Cruise will include a selection of onboard events, shore excursions led by local, English-speaking tour guides, and bespoke overland programs, which can be arranged before, during or after the cruise. Included in the cruise fare are roundtrip business class air travel, $4,000 onboard spending money per suite, unlimited Wi-Fi, an expedition parka, laundry and medical services and visa packages for guests of select nationalities. Suites are available from $62,000 per person, up to $250,000 per person for the top-tier Owner’s Suites.
